PocketWiNc is a software toolbox for those of you who might connect your Pocket PC to a wireless network. It is a limited version of the retail software but the disabled functions are not really missing for an everyday use.
PocketWiNc is mostly used to detect and save available networks. On the first screen, you can get basic info such as name of the network, WEP protection, internet connexion availablility, strength of the signal with a bar and a percentage and SSID.
The tools also let you see the IP, do a ping or trace route and if a DHCP is available, you can renew your IP (release and renew).
PocketWiNc also allow you to launch email and internet browser. It is the oldest software of this category and if it has been the only one for some time, it is now worth trying WiFiFoFum and MiniStumbler based on the status of their development.
Note: the link below is the Windows Mobile 2003 version. If you want the Pocket PC 2002 version, it is here.
