An ultra-small (6.5kb) utility that does one thing: rotate the screen 90°. The ideal being having it run off a button.
The problem is that the screen always turns the same way. So on a second running, you find the screen upside down(as the screen capture provided shows).
This flaw can be turned into an advantage, for example when the infrared port is in a bad spot or if you want to use microphone normally located at the bottom of the Pocket PC, while taking notes.
Many use the native rotation function, that can also be run from a button.
In short: nothing new here.
This program functions only under Windows Mobile 2003 SE or higher.

While I can't speak for this version, I did try the Rotate330 v1.0 from the authur's website, and it works fine on my Toshiba 335 with Pocket PC2002. It requires a soft-reset to have the rotate take affect. Many applications displayed and worked fine in the rotated landscape mode. However the Today screen rotated to landscape ok, but it did not stretch to fill up the entire landscape mode screen. But I am still very happy to have this app, especially for working with Pocket Excel in a landscape mode. I would give Rotate330 at least a 7 out of 10, but I believe Rotate330 was only meant to be used with Toshiba 330/335, so I wouldn't attempt to use it on any other model PDA without the author's approval.

I installed it on my ipaq 3765, and the only function that is functional on my handheld is the "cancel" button. Too bad. I would enjoy a way to have a landscape mode without buying a whole new Pocket PC.

It installs its self twice. As Rotate and Rotate2. I double checked the CAB file and sure enough, it contains 2 files.

I tried installing Rotate330 v1.0 from the author's website and it did NOT work on my Dell Axim X5 with PocketPC 2002. What it did was rotate the touch screen mapping without rotating the graphics of the screen. This made my Pocketpc useless and I almost had to do a hard reset to get it back to normal. I ended up launching the program using the d-pad to navigate small menu and guessing at the location for zero rotation once Rotate330 was launched. Took a few tries but got it back to normal. Phew! That was a close one.
