Powerstatus is a program designed to permenantly supply two important pieces of information: the state of the battery and available memory (RAM). It is remarkable unobtrusive as it is only 2 pixels high: the first green bar gives remaining battery charge and animates when the Pocket PC is charging, while the second shows available RAM.
Simple and small (only 3.5kb) it has the advantage of always being visible in the taskbar. Of course, games which take over the whole screen will hide it.

Works fine on my HP iPAQ hx4700 (Windows Mobile 2003 SE). This tool shows battery state (green bar) and memory state (orange bar) by means of color horizontal bars on top of screen. Tool has to be started manually (from file system). Running exe again it turns bars off.

My personal opinion is that this is the battery monitor because is very very discrete, very very very small (3.5kB) and always visible. Work also in landscape. Is hard to find space for improvement. Maybe an options menu to choice thickness and color of bars will be welcome but to much.
My machine HP hx2750 WM2003CE.
