There have been many "Pac-Man style" games over the years but this is the ORIGINAL 1980 Namco arcade version; simply redone for the Pocket PC. The game runs incredibly smooth and the button controls are very responsive. Also the music and sounds are faithfully reproduced (which was the highlight of the original arcade classic.) Retro gamers rejoice!

excellent emulation of the actual namco game. amazing! one note, make sure you delete the gx.dll file from the game directory of pac-man. at first, I could not get the game to work until I deleted this file.

I managed to download the zip file. But the self-extract application file inside the zip file doesn't work.

I am an old PACMAN fanatic, jumped off my seat when I discovered this download. I however cannot install using either the ZIP file nor the extracted EXE. Even went further by extracting the EXE to the setup files. How did you guys manage?

I just downloaded the file into a folder, extracted all the contents into that folder and ran the setup.exe file. This opened the Installation Wizard and did everything automatically.

I have an O2 mini and running ActiveSync 3.2 on WinXP, cannot seem to have this working. returns an error "the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS" when executed from XP. returns "not a valid pocket pc apps" when executed from the device.

in my case, there's Pacman.exe inside the zip file, but i got the same msg as rayfuster's when running it.

This game is awsome. I'm 26 so I remember the orginal Pacman, THIS IS THE SAME THING. I would play it all day if I wasnt worried about wearing out my buttons. BTW Worked great on Dell Axim X5. Awsome Job.

I have o2 mini the download works fine then when the file is ZIP it comes up with continue downloading Galatic Assualt? Where can I get pacman zip file and is there any way to change it to english?

For novices out there who are stuck working out how to install (like I was 10 minutes ago), here you go:
1. Download the file to your computer.
2. Unzip the file Pac_Man_pour_Pocket_PC_1.0.zip.
3. Make sure that your PDA is connected to your computer (I use Activesync).
4. Double click on the unzipped file PacMan.exe on your computer. This will start set up utility. It unpacks, then asks you where to install - by default this was under Activesync but I changed it to My Documents on my PDA. Follow the instructions, it then goes through and installs the programme on your PDA.
5. On you PDA, go to Start>Programs>Games - it should be there.

Running Axim X30, ActiveSync 3.7.1, Pac-Man installed on card. Game works like a champ, but after running it ActiveSync will hang -- never completes. Soft reset fixes the problem. YMMV.

Is this compatible with Moble 5.0? I downloaded and unzipped the file to my XV6700, but when I double click on the unzipped file it starts to run but then the WinZip Self-Extractor window stays open and never completes the instlallation and doesn't ask where to save the file.

Lovely to remember when i was 10 years old and I was the pacman-boy in the hood!
It is very compatible with Mobile 5.0, I downloaded it following the instructions mentioned by Anon and it worked perfectly...with the only thing that I installed the game on my storage card and it is REALLY fast.

Click the "Download" link on this page. On the French page that loads, click on the box: "Télécharger / Taille: 0.732 Mo". On the next page, pick a line in the table below "Sélectionnez un des serveurs de Téléchargement ..." (which means: pick your download server). "Site de l'éditeur" means: author's site. Done.

Pacman may be a nice game to have but does anyone know how to translate French to English? How are you supposed to know what to download? Want to try on Dell Axim X51v. Any help out there?

I grabbed one of the several files that were there. Didn't eally know what I was getting but ultimately it ran pacman and I installed it on Dell Axim X51v. Easier to use stylus. I still think it should be provided in English so you know what your doing unless your fortunate enough to read and write in French! Game runs well.

A tungsten in not a Pocket PC. The program will not run on Palm devices!!! I beleive there are Pac-Man ports for the Palm platform. Try http://www.freewarepalm.com/ .

does not work very well on a Treo 700W...
1) calendar button is actually the little black function key + the Windows key. not real obvious.
2) 5 way navigator button with two thumbs is kind of hard to use. you keep hitting other keys by mistake freezing the game in the middle (pause) or it was asking me to load a saved game...
3) key remapping is limited to the standard hardware buttons other PPC's have but Treos and XV6700's don't have.
The game play itself is awesome but I don't think I will keep this installed unless I can remap the keys to ones on my keyboard.

Ran the .exe and installed it on my Samsung SCH-i760 Smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro and game ran fine. Installed it on my memory card.
