Copy it to ANY folder you like (not specificly the 'My documents'-folder) and create the shortcuts.
Where can I find more levels??
|
You can find more levels on the authors website!
My wish has been granted! (thanx, Bog!)
|
Make sure the level-files are in a subdirectory not deeper than 1 level, or the program can't find them!
|
I cannot get the program to install. After unzipping the contents, I double-click on the .exe file and get an error that says the program failed to initialise.
|
I always try to do these when I find a San Francisco Chronicle on the subway train, and I typically resort to copying the grid down into my notebook by hand. This should make it easy to copy it into my PocketPC.
|
edwardaggie98 thats because its not a Win32 application. Simply move the file to the PocketPC and run the file FROM your PocketPC. That will do the trick :)

mmubashar - you are correct that Bsoduko.exe does not install the program to your PPC. You need to copy the Bsoduko.exe and Level Files to a folder on your PPC, and then tap on the .exe to run it.
But I did just try running Bsoduko.exe in Windows XP, and it works fine! So you can play the game on your Desktop PC or on your Pocket PC. It's a very nicely written app!!!
This also means that you can create new levels on your Desktop, save them, and then copy them to your PPC. Or vice-versa!
It also means you can store the game folder witin your /My Documents folder (used by ActiveSync), and which will keep the puzzle data in sync between your Desktop and your PPC, allowing you to work on the same puzzle on either platform. You can switch back and forth as long as you remember to "save" the puzzle at it's current position, before exiting the game. When you play the game on your Desktop, you will need to execute the game from within the corresponding /My Documents Pocket_PC folder. VERY COOL !!!

I just tried the Desktop PC and PPC sync idea I mentioned above, and it works great!!! I created the Bsoduko folder in my Pocket PC's /My Documents folder. I created a shortcut to the .exe file and pasted it into my PPC's /Windows/Start Menu/Games folder. When active sync ran, it created this same Bsoduko folder on my Desktop PC within the /Pocket_PC My Documents folder. I created a Desktop shortcut to this .exe file within this Desktop folder. Now I play the game on either my Desktop or my PPC, and the game data will be kept in sync, as long as I "save" the level file. I also need to "load" this level file into the current game, on whichever platform I am playing it on. AWESOME !!!! :)

good job, RD100. would have never thought to try that.

this may be a bit off-topic, but due to .NET stuph, a lot of PPC software will run on XP. I was as amazed as you lot when I found that Wififofum actually ran on my laptop..!
|
tymusz - Very cool! Never knew that about .NET I just tried Cherry Chaser slot machine, and it runs in Windows XP. Will be interesting to see what else works. Thanks !!!

Help. I must be missing something on authors website or perhaps I have misunderstood. I cannot find the option for more levels. Can anyone assist?
Cheers

see the menu in the thumbnail-image at the top of this page? use the 'Load' option to open levels you've downloaded from the authors website.

levels should be fond here: http://devpocket.free.fr/bsoduko/upload.php

A new version is available ! Enjoy !
|
I found that it's not working in my Dopod 818 Pro. Is it because the processor is OMAP? or is it WM5?

A new version is available ! Enjoy!

Works fine - but I still prefer Superdoku.
