Very easy to use, gets the job done, not sure if anything more can be said about this handy tool.

iPaq 4155, 4gb SD card, WM 2003
This program is a great automated tool for clearing unwanted files away. It even allows you to remove files within custom set folders (such as a temp folder you forget to empty). A very nice program from Vicott.

Hello everyone.
I installed ClearTemp (very nice job) on my ppc (Loox n520) and worked great.
One bad thing happend though...
When I changed the custom1 folder target, to the FilesToBeDeleted folder in my SD card, the SD card disappeared.
No soft/hard reset was enough to recover the unrecognized SD card.I viewd files and folders of the SD card in a laptop and saw that most of the files where deleted and kind of destroyed.
I had to format the SD card in order to be recognized by my ppc.

This program worked so well removing all kind of bits and pieces left over from previously installed and deleated programs.

Version 0.9.8.2 has been released. Only minor fixes are included in this new version.

To Vicott (the contact form on your site brings up an error message in the PIE browser): ClearTemp does a wonderful job on my WM5 device, but could you please tell me what the boot count is used for, and why there's an option to clear it?
Thanks!
|
It is explained in my blog and also in the help file included in v1.0.3. Thanks for the note about the contact form on my mobile-friendly site. The bug has been fixed.

Bad shortcuts don't seem to be deleted (although they are detected).
|
Which shortcut file is it? Some shortcut files may be read-only/system, and this may be trickier to delete.
|
@Vicott
Sorry, I manually deleted them. If my phone resets again (which I hope won't happen), then I'll send you a list. They aren't read-only to my knowledge.
