NoniGPSPlot allows you to locate your position in relation to other GPS points and to see the journey you have made.
It may be used to find your starting place in a port after sailing, or the place where you start a walking or biking excursion, or even your car in a parking. Any place long as you know its GPS coordinates.
It stores the whole journey too. And you can export a KML file to visualize it in Google Earth.
Update : v2.50 adds english and italian languages.

Alas this program will not work on an Ipaq rx5940 as it does not see the internal gps unit
|
I use the rx5935...
A little workaround:
You have to start another gps-software (for example tomtom6) to activate the gps-system and
let it run in background - Dont forget to deactivate the bluetooth to save your battery ;)
Then you can use NoniGPSPlot. Ok, not a nice trick, but it works ;-)
Maybe there will be a fix in a following version?

My device is IPAQ 5730 series - the great NONI workin without any problems. All what I've to it was to change the port number. During setup there is com5 as default, in IPAQ it's com 7. Great thanks for great & nice free software :-)

It works great on my HTC 3300, however, how do I export my track to a KML file as stated in the description above?

Works fine on my ETEN Glofiish X500+. UI takes some getting used to; press the center button to access the menu. The English translation is not perfect and you'd better know a bit of French to read the docs on the web site, but the software itself is really nice. The KML (Google Earth) export is super easy and worked first time for me. On the Glofiish, use COM port 2, 57600 baud for the GPS data.

It works great in my Sprint Mogul PPC6800! This is a very good program.
