Best "System Manager" I have seen so far. It has all features one can dream of and goes deep down into the system. Version 2.3 has now option to switch between minimize and exit buttons, auto/manual load of devices (wm2k5 only), suspend and reset PPC shortcut creation, Run...-manager etc...
I replaced the "Mobile TaskManager" (ex "iTaskMgr") and PHM RegistryEditor with this one.
|
Will this work on WM2003 (not 2003SE)?
|
Followup to above... No it doesn't :-(
|
this task manager is a must have... pda newbies probable won't see why it is great and won't need it, but for all of you who are not first month pc or pda users this will definitely come handy many a time. task manager, cpu usage list and registry editors will be the most heavly used features, but network utils make this software a real versatile pocket swiss knife. get it at once!
|
I agree with "tivasyk" and "cs" opnion. This is the best free task manager I have ever seen. When using this program, Mobile TaskManager and PHM task manager are not needed.

In v2.4 favorites can be created!!!
|
new version: v2.6 is out:
- changed the regedit toolbar (added Favorites/add Favorites buttons and merged cut/copy/paste in one button menu)
- view/edit mui reg values
- import/export multi_sz/mui_sz as RGU (for rgu export flag should be set in regedit menu)
- some minor bugs fixed in regedit
- command line added to process path
- Last active tab is reloaded at start if no parameter provided (flag should be set in options menu)

Too bad whoever admins the forum can't allow you to download a file from withing the forum. Can we post these files in a more accessable location?
|
What's the difference between unupxed and upxed?
|
Still no explanation of unexped or upxed??? Plus can't download the files. Clicking on the any of the zips gives a message "Linking to files in this forum is not allowed from outside the forum."
|
It's a type of executable file compression. It allows developers to shrink the executable file footprint so you have more device space. The only caveat is that generally there is a slight increase in memory usage due the the de-compressor loader of the executable file. This may not be true of all executable compressors.

I registered on the forum as indicated above but still cannot download the file. I get the message "Linking to files in this forum is not allowed from outside the forum.". Can we post these files somewhere more accessible?
|
Just a note..when you get to the file..right click and save target as!!!
|
This program ROCKS! not only are the other task managers not needed, all the other registry editors are not needed as well :D.
|
it is posible to have a procedure to install Task Manager - v2.7 after downloaded the archive with Task Manager.exe?
|
Specs look quite nice
especially delaying the service stuff... ;)

This application is garbage when using on the HTC Mogul/Titan... It just about bricked my phone during the first use. I had to take my phone to Sprint, and all they could do was perform a Hard-Reset. I'm not really saying that this is a bad application, but beware if you're running WM6/Mogul/Titan/Tytn II...
To be more specific:
After I ran this application for the first time, my phone took 10 minutes to load the today screen. Afterwards, it put a small icon at the bottom of my screen with no option to remove it.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the best true geek toys I've seen. If you are a software developer, this app provides the most common tools you'll need to peek around in the OS, kill processes, edit the registry, ping a site, check out hidden windows, view core devices and their device names (e.g., "COM1"). Although it's written by "DotFred", it's written in C++ and has no .NET dependencies. One of the all-time best free developer tools on the net, and I've looked at a lot of 'em :)

This tool works like a charm on my x51v (WM5). Also, I was finally able to gain control over Word Mobile (pword.exe), which never fully closes after opening a Word file by association. This task manager allowed me to create a shortcut which quickly kills the process when I'm finished using Word.
