PocketPCFreeware : Mobile Secretary 1.0

Mobile Secretary allows your Pocket PC Phone Edition to automatically respond to a missed call with a custom text message and optionally with your current calendar information. You can customize the messages for various groups of people as well.

There are 2 built-in groups. The "<Default>" group is for people you have in your contact database : if someone calls from their home phone number, the text message will be sent to their mobile phone. The "<Unknown Caller>" group applies to others. Of course you can customize these groups and create as many as you want.

There is one more useful feature if you forward your calls to another mobile number : Mobile Secretary can forward SMS too.

A very useful app that people who wanted to contact you may appreciate.

hi, i m not able to make an entry in my calendar. the contact sms will be send without problems, if the number is a mobile number. Other numbers... there no sms will be send. can someone help

to Walterschmitz, it can't send sms to non-mobile number, how are they supposed to get the sms? Only mobile phones have sms services as far as I know. Great software, really like it and use it alot.

Great idea. Unfortunately Treo700wx users will not get this to work. There seems to be a common problem with registry errors that the developer has not been able to find a solution for. Some HTC models are having the same problem. Go to the website to read before using. There are other problems with some models firing off multiple sms messages to missed calls. I would suggest testing this out on someone who is not going to get mad if the sms feature sends them repeated messages. Others are reporting that it is working for them with no problem.

@jpless In The Netherlands you can have, for a couple of years now, SMS on your non-mobile phone (land-line, POTS): http://kpn-customer.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/kpn_customer.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=4125. It's an extra service (I don't have it, and I don't know anyone who has, but it is possible.) (I tried to translate the page of KPN with Babelfish, but that would not work).

I downloaded this for use on an XDA Orbit 2. Whilst I was on a long call it sent not just one but about 1000 texts to a caller who couldn't get through (at a rate of over 30 texts a minute). Shame because in principle it's a really useful app, just expensive if you haven't got unlimited texts - it also jammed up the caller's phone until the could delete the texts.
