Windows Live Messenger for Mobile Devices is an 'app' which does not require installation : point the browser of your Pocket PC to http://mobile.live.com/wlm/imsi.aspx and you are presented a login screen which gives you access to your Windows Live Messenger contacts.
You can send messages to multiple friends from one page to avoid waiting for a full refresh of every page. A useful link if your ROM does not include WLM.

Is this the same I have preinstalled on my WinCE? And does this litter your contacts too, like the CE built-in one does? This is the main thing I don't use that one. To be worse, when you clear up your contacts, it syncronizes upwards, and deletes your MSN list. :S
