PeekPocket (taste the joke... :) ) is a new Wifi sniffer. His MAIN advantage is : No installation !
Just copy the EXE file onto your machine... and Voila !
The functions are similar to other tools like this. Cherry on the cake, it automaticaly pick the colors of your theme... What an harmony ! ;)
To me,one step further than Hitchicker, because there is no need of latest .NET Compact Framework...

This is a great program! Works flawlessly on my IPAQ rx1950. Would be nice if you could use it to connect to Wi-Fi networks and if the list of networks could be filtered to show only networks of a given type (e.e. only open networks).

Yep it's cool it'll tell you what channel things are on and what type of encryption they're using WPA or WEP. It doesn't tell you what type of access it is though (A, B, G, or N). It does however give you a very accurate metric for the signal strength (it looks like a number from 1 to 100 indicating the level of interference). In addition you can even have it tell you what other devices are connected to your wireless network (very cool). If the author can figure out how to tell what type of wireless they're broadcasting A, B, G, or N (and I get that some adapters can't do A), then I might be able to quit carrying around my separate hotspot finder to jobs and can simply rely on my sweet HTC Fuze cell phone.

I almost forgot to mention you can have it make annoying noises when new networks are found, which is helpful when you're trying to find something to work with.

wow, this is a great program. I found another 2 hotspots after I've run this. The default wifi utility of my XDA Atom can't detect much compared to this program. Thanks Dzolee and Yololo ^_^
