You have failed to mention that this application requires .NET CF 2.0. It's not mentioned on the author's site, either.

Hi :)
sorry for not mentioning the CF 2 dependecy. a new 0.2 version is out. mostly under the hood changes and less bugs ;)
go a head and try to skin GSlide :) it's pretty easy!

@mysparkle : Please read my Today's comment from the French size of this website... Thanks.

Okidoki, new more stable release 0.2.5 on the site :)
Worked hard to get the context styling more complete. And of course made the error management better.
Should also be faster.
I made a new black skin which i think you will like. Its based on the Gnome Oxygen theme.
Ciao :)

Hi :)
there is a new 0.3.7
version with important "security" fixes on the site.
I have fixed so that it's not possible to delete folders from the device root. So that you don't accidentally delete your system folders for example.
also added an option to run without fullscreen (in the context.xml file).
please download this release to keep on the safe side.
Ciao :)

Good idea to work on an finger friendly file explorer. Scrolling works fine.
Unfortunately, instead of actions I always get an error-message with the current version (The GSlideAPI can only be used from within GSlide.)
Could the select.png be stretched also horizontally in order to fit better to VGA-(landscape-)mode?
Thanks.
|
hi :)
I am glad you like my little app!
The "The GSlideAPI can only be used from within GSlide" error is probably raised because your GSlide exe is not named "GSlide.exe" if the name is anything different, the GSlideAPI assumes that GSlide is not running.
please check the exe name. if you still can't find the reason for the error , please report back and I will fix it :)
regarding the VGA skin, I will get started on one tomorrow ;)

hi,
no, sorry, I just copied the folder from the zip-file to my SD-card. :)
Could it be a problem of the default folders that have different names in different countries? Ajusting the xml-files didn't help, I tried this.
Thanks and bye
|
Hmm... try putting the whole folder in your main memory as opposed to your storage card. the problem should not be due to location of the GSlide.exe but lets try it anyway. if you want to change the default paths, they are located in the GSlideAPI.mscr file in the actions folder. here you can also turn of the security feature which causes the error.
please tell me if you solved the problem :)
thanks

Thanks for the hints. I could solve the problem and found out:
1. GSlide works good - without any error message - when it is posed in the main-memory. So it is due to the location...
2. To see if it really works on the card, I turned off the security feature. Good idea, then GSlide works on the SD-Card.
3. Yes, changinf the default paths is easy, changing colours, too, but it doesn't solve the security-problem, as had thought at first.
Hope that I helped you to understand the little problem with the app I detected and that others with the same problem can thus solve it now, too.
Wishing you every success with your app!
Bye

If you like GSlide, you have to get this new version! Its really much better then before :)
0.4.8
New "lock list" function which secures execution of actions.
0.4.7
- New Actions with the same sliding interface as the rest of the app.
- New filter action. Now you can actually open the windows folder, IF you apply the filter first.
- Many fixes and patches.
- A lot better structure of folders and files.
- No need to specify the location of scripts in the context.xml files. (though its still possible).
|
Ok here comes a new version with cool stuff!
Had some server problems before. But now its back on track ;)
0.5
- GSlide can now read JSON! This means that you can load data from basically any data source, straight from the net This could be anything from RSS to stock information or mail accounts. Contact me through my xda-developers GSlide page for more info until I finish the docs.
- You can now set shortcuts in GSlide to access files or folders in a snap. Super cool feature! Make new shortcuts by selecting any file or folder. Go to the Actions View by choosing \"Show Actions\". Here simply click on \"Create Shortcut\". You are now asked if you want to save it in the default location which is the GSlide specific folder used with the Right Sweep. Otherwise you can make a regular shortcut anywhere you wish by selecting a folder.
<-- Sweep = Back
Sweep = Shortcuts -->
Read also the new GSlide Guide on the site!

New version with Settings feature :)
0.5.2
- New "GSlide Settings" Context which makes it easy to set system paths according to your whishes. Switch to the new Settings context and click on the "Contexts" folder. When you click on the different settings here you can input new paths. Dont mess around with paths that look like this: GSlideAPI[paths]... unless you know what your doing
- Working zip features again.
- A bit reworked skins.
- Uses the latest MortScript beta.
|
Updated with:
0.5.5
- Optional VGA skin (very basic but nice). Just go to the \"Context\" folder in the GSlide root and rename the current \"Default\" folder to \"Default_QVGA\", then rename the \"Default_VGA\" to simply \"Default\".
- Communication with GSlide is now xmlrpc standard.
- More possibilities to make adhoc changes to events handlers (onApplicationStart, onApplicationExit, onTapAndHold, onBackTapAndHold, onClick, onDoubleClick, etc).
- Tap and hold support :)
- Renaming the menues is now possible.
- Right sweep now takes you to the actions (cut and paste etc) as default (really easy to change in the context.xml file. Look for the onSweepRight tag.)
Download at the new site http://81.93.138.210/GSlide/
Fixed much better docs etc :)
Take care,
Lars
