Well known for those who come from the Palm world, Mobipocket is of double use for:
- eBooks (some of them free)
- free eNews (now RSS feeds you download with the desktop version).
Mobipocket is one of the best program to read e-books, and the library is very huge. You can use Mobipocket Creator, a desktop companion to create personal content.

If you want the Pocket PC reader only, remember that as from v.5 you'll get a desktop installer which installes a desktop reader and won't let you choose nor specify where to install the pocket reader on your pocket pc. If you want to circumvent this problem, download the appropriate cabinet file for your device from here:
http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/DownloadLinuxStep1.asp
Download and install a cabinet file installer on your Pocket PC, like http://www.s-k-tools.com/util.html and copy the appropriate Mobipocket cab(inet) file to any directory on your PPC. Now use the cabinet installer program to choose your preferred destination (main memory, a card (or File store on iPAQ devices)).
An aside: You can even choose to associate the above mentioned program CabInstll with cabinet files; if you've done so, simply tapping on the cabinet file will open this program
MobiPocket promises that future releases of the desktop installer might include a way to specify where to install the pocket reader again.

This is a nice free app. Way better than MS Reader. If you download and install its free companion Mobipocket Creator (desktop), you can create your own ebooks with excellent customizations.
