Pocket QuickView - v2.0.13 Categorie: Graphics
Screen Shot
Here is a masterpiece! PQView is in my opinion one of the best freeware apps presently available for the Pocket PC. It is easily as good as its commercial competitors. Personally, I have abandonned Resco Viewer (commercial) for PQView. At first the interface seems a bit disconcerting, but after 5 minutes use you will realise that the icon system that the author has chosen to use is quite efficient A line of icons at the bottom of the screen provides access to all the program options. Besides the classic viewing and slideshow functions, this program has a large number of graphical tools, such as image redimensioning, format conversion, colour management, screen parameter capture, sending images via email, etc...

There are many view modes and each one has its use: full screen, thumbnail, dual, fullscreen with a little navigation image, etc...

Another strong point of PQView is the number of formats supported: PCX, TIF, TGA, JPG, GIF, PDF, AVI, MOV, etc...
There are some negatives all the same, such as the absence of album creation, or graphical annotations.

So, if you are a photographer, graphic artist or simply passionate about your family photos, PQView is made for you.

Note: The latest version is shareware. The free version, v2.0.13, is still available under the Download link below.

This isn't a bad picture viewer, though the toolbar is kind of unusual and sometimes complicated. This was the only player I could find about a year ago (early 2003) that would play AVI files on my iPAQ. There is an update that isn't freeware. The freeware version produced a speaker pop on my iPAQ. Your milage may vary...Overall not bad, especially for nothing! :)

Quite average, does not work with VGA (ok, this is too old).
But after all, I tried all the picture viewers here, and sadly, none is even close to the HP Image Zone... strange that a commercial software in this case turned out to be the best... quite opposite usually!

Uhm.. it actually became paid software, 19,99 dollars, with a 30 day demo mode. Might be good then to delete it from this forum?

A wonderful picture viewer with innovative tabs/buttons and a very snappy interface. By far my favorite image viewer! It also includes a slideshow function and the ability to take time delayed screenshots! I believe that the "download" link goes to a copy of the old freeware version on the PPCFreeware database, so that may be your answer. A must-have if you have ANY pictures on your handheld!

9/10

Viewing is good, but strange the directory navigation is bad or not easy. If i want look into Storagecard, i cannot see directory up link. It use standard My Documents.
I give it 7/10. The buttons is indeed new, but you can change it for your wishes.
In options you see what the little buttons means.
Good try, but i have already found better freeware viewer.

mrdummy (12-01-2007) - v2.0.13
Yes, XnView Pocket 1.40 is free, and is more updated.
This version is old, and new versions are not more freeware.
It can give troubles on WM5 and WM6. Not more 9/10!
It's now like 6/10 because it lost freeware status.
