Finally DivX makes it to the Pocket PC. Is PocketTV in danger of losing its leading position in the video player market? Yes, PocketDivX could really take its place as the number one video player in the Pocket PC world.
It plays not only DivX, but also AVI, MPG and MP3. The greatest advantage of DivX over MPG is the size. A 10MB MPG file compresses to only 3.7MB as DivX. This will enable devices with only small memory cards to store long videos as well. Thanks to the caching option, lucky owners of a microdrive won't have to worry about rapid battery consumption too much. Like the Pocket Media Player, PocketDivX can handle and create playlists containing MP3 and video files. Some options are also available, like a full screen mode, color smoothing and shuffle mode. Some negative issues: the DivX videos have weaker colors (that's why we are impatiently waiting for the next version which will provide color correction). It should also be noted that the conversion of AVI, MPG or MOV files to the DivX format is not an easy task for everyone. But lately we have seen more and more utilities which can help you with this.
Version 0.8 brings a score of new features, including a 10 band equalizer with pre-amp, brightness control and others. But the quality of playing MPG files with PocketTV is still unmatched.
Note: Check out its competitor, Betaplayer, it seems more powerful on certain machines.

Its called eXPerience. Its not bad, I kinda keep going back to the regular format.

Had a bit of trouble finding a player that worked well on my iPaq 4355 but this one works great.

Runs on my Cassipeia E-115G nearly perfect. Also at full resotution. You can let the programm scale the video to fullscreen, if it's smaller without getting in trouble. Really great programm.
