Attention, please! This new tool from Philippe Majerus (a name which promises quality) is not one of the simple "Task Switchers", but a real task manager, like the one we know from Windows NT, 2000 or XP. The programs shows two tabs:
Applications:
Here you can view a list of all running programs, switch between them, request them to go into a "hibernation" mode (makes the program free as much resources as possible) and close them. If you set the view to "Large Icons" and assign a hardware button to the task manager, you have a first class "Task Switcher".
Processes:
This is the true strength of the application. You can get detailed information about all the processes that are running on your device, like its name, total CPU time used, path of the executable, and other things (Ph. Majerus really tried well to explain them, but I still don't have a clue ;) ).
Apart from that you can turn your Pocket PC off, perform a soft reset and even (argh!) a hard reset, fortunately the latter option has a security question! The OK button minimises the application, it is still available through an icon in the system bar.
Another plus: an extensive help is available by clicking on "Start" and "Help".
A great new software by Philippe Majerus.

I really like this Task Manager! Simple to use and configurable on my WM5 Cingular 8125. Most of the other task managers just didn't work as great for me as this one. It also trays down for easy access. I would highly recommend downloading this and giving this a try.

Downloaded this to my IPAQ 2490 running WM5. No tabs!!! No way to switcdh views so I deleted it.

Oh, come on! How is software from 2002 new, and why is it your highlight for August 10, 2008?
Also, I can confirm what patlucas wrote: No tabs show up on my device, either.
For those wanting a full-featured task manager, Task Manager 3.1 by FdcSoft should fill the bill.
