We are all aware that one of the drawbacks of the PocketPCs is how much power the background lighting uses. Taking from this, Saak Dertadian created a plug-in for the Today page which could prove practical. Thanks to "Brightness" you can directly adjust the brightness on your Today page on your IPAQ (can only be used on IPAQs). Brightness can also tell you of you last full charge, (this information stays in the memory even after a Soft Reset) You can even display the remaining battery time as well as the memory status or the status of an external battery. (Following some tests, if you use an expansion pack the IPAQ gets confused and "thinks" it is communicating with an external battery. Saak Dertadian is working on improving that). Last but not least, Saak Dertadian is a French developer whom I've had the pleasure to meet at a Users seminar. I hope he continues to develop programs of the same caliber.
