Here is a little tool that I've been waiting for ever since I've had my Pocket PC: a replacement for wceload.exe, the built-in manager for the installed programs and .CAB files. CabInstl finally allows you to choose the directory where you want to install a program without being forced to use the path that the developer of the software has chosen.
What is this good for, you ask? To install a program on a memory card, for example, an impossible thing to do if you only have the CAB file.
Lastest version allows to view the contents of a CAB file and disable the automatic deletion of the file after the installation (very good with Visual Basic files e.g. where you have to reinstall them quite often).
Note : you do NOT need this utility if you have Windows Mobile 5.

Becareful changing the install point. It can break programs....

If you have WM2003 or older and you like to install a lot of cabs in your device then this is a one way and before any cab solution, otherwise you left without valueble main memory. Right now I have installed 65 programs! in my device and I have about 60Mb free main memory!!!.Bugs: Not working for very few cabs. So what!

This is a much needed tool on anyone's PPC. I use this all the time to install apps while away from my regular PC. I love the fact that it can be associated with cab files to ease later installations. Also, an option to keep the installation cab is great since I like keeping backups of all my installation files. 10/10!
