PocketDict is a nice little program which fills a gaping hole in the world of freeware: an English dictionary. Its author, Marcello Bastéa-Forte seemed tired of trying to find a dictionary worthy of the name, without having to pay anything, and, finding nothing, decided to make one himself!
The program suffers from a spartan interface, but things could well improve, since the author promises to do it all, while keeping it free.
But get ready to make some memory available because there are no less than 182697 entries proposed: Webster's 1913 Unabridged English Dictionary in its entirety. Around 10Mb.
If you dream of having a real English dictionary on your PocketPC I advise you to try PocketDict immediately.
Update : Don't forget to look around the author's site. New dictionaries are being added, particularly a English/Spanish dictionary and the Encarta dictionary which has been converted.
