I like the Booklib program a lot: it allows you to manage your library on your Pocket PC.
Classification and searching can be done by title, author, series or location. It's just what I need. There is also a possible link to an application in case you want to manage e-books.
Of course, I recognise that any database program would allow you to do the same thing, but frankly, it only takes up 53kb, so why not use it?
Update: new improvements to the program have added new fields, exporting to CSV and French and Spanish support.

This program is incredible! It allows you to manage almost every possible collection you could imagine. To have your paperback, hardback, and ebooks listed together, much less with your cd collection is an INVALUABLE tool. And if you have a large mp3 list, even better! All your lists are in one place. My only problems with this program are that it is sometimes slow to save and when you have to switch categories on some files, it will bring you to the new category instead of leaving you at the original (a bummer if you have to move a bunch of books)!

Another great feature is the developer created a companion program called Booklib PC, which lets you use your Desktop PC to enter or view your booklib data. The two programs share the same database format. So you can enter and view your booklib data on either your PC or Pocket PC.

Unfortunately the PC version is not yet available for download. :(

Watch out. I just discovered my db file was GONE - again. I don't know if it's because it was on my SD card or not, but after a few months, it was gone! Instead of going through the hassle of reinputting over 100 books &/or ebooks, I just deleted them. Three times was enough. The program needs more work. Perhaps having the db file saved in My Documents instead would be better (so it sync's to the PC and you have at least a partial backup). And I noticed that the db save is slow when you have a lot of books. I still give it a 6, but I will wait to download the new version (I don't think these issues were addressed in 1.28).
