A program only for those nostalgic for cascading menus. As everyone knows, Microsoft has returned to a linear configuration for its Start menu in Windows CE3.0. Cascading menu addicts a la Win9x and CE2.11 will find with this app, their appetite satisfied.
Not much interest if you discovered the OS from the Pocket PC or later: many clicks are necessary for doubtful ergonomics.
The author, conscious of its limits, has developed a complement by the name of ProgramMenu Toys that corrects the shortfalls. This may be cause to give it another try.
Warning: ProgramMenuPlus 2.0, the new product that integrates the Toys IS NOT freeware. So it is necessary to distinguish between ProgramMenu, the freeware app and ProgramMenuPlus, the USD$5 shareware program.

ProgramMenu is a great tool if you use it along with wisbar, icbar, or gigabar, and highly recommended if you do
ProgramMenuPlus, is shareware, and adds a few nifty features, that most prople in my oppinion will not find very usefull unless you want to skin it or have a need to use the startmenu but do not have wisbar or icbar

Program Menu is terrific!!! It lets you launch your applications from an organized cascading menu system, as opposed to launching from a screen full of tiny icons. I find the cascading menu method much easier to use, especially when you have lots of applications loaded on your PPC. I highly recommend this program. I would give it at least an 8/10.

It's an 8/10 for sure...A must for me at least...This is one of the very rare occasions that I dissagree with the reviewer. The rating must not reflect the reviewer's likes and dislikes (cascading menus) but the quality of the program.

The main reason I like Cascading Menus is because it lets me organize all of my applications (I have over 100) into folders, sub-folders, and sub-sub-folders. For instance, I have a main GAMES folder, and within GAMES, I have sub-folders for CARDS, BOARD, ARCADE, CASINO, PUZZLE, SHOOTER, and SPORTS. The cascading menu also lets me see the full name of the application being launched, as well as the icon.
Like Mouridis, I also disagree with the reviewer, and feel Program Menu deserves a much higher rating.
