This utility will become your access port to "Moving Map" programs. Besides the various information that it provides, this program provides a map manager.
The 'Dashboard' tab gives you (via an aviation-style panel): satellite visibility, altitude, speed, heading, mean speed and time. This utility provides a clever function that transmits the GPS time to your Pocket PC, giving you a very cheap atomic clock.
The 'Map' tab gives you your position on a bitmap map (2000x2000 points) and records your trace.
The 'GPS Data' tab provides complimentary data (No of satellites, co-ordinates, errors & outages). GPSDash provides the capture of your GPS log as well as replaying them.
Note, only the Beta version is free, GPSDash is Shareware from version 1.0 onward.

I made the mistake of buying the full version of GPSdash. This application shows a lot of promise, but consistently craps out on my Garmin iQue M3. Avoid this product at all costs! Any complaints or criticisms send the guy into a defensive frenzy and he blames any problems on your hardware, other software, global warming, sunspots, etc... all the while screaming that it could not possibly be something wrong with his precious program.
Anyway, the bottom line is - the dude has zero business or customer service sense, and rather than simply refund my 20 euros (about 32 bucks USA) he keeps ducking the issue, even to the point of deleting a discussion I started on his forum about this issue. Maybe he doesn't realize there are many other venues out here where I can warn people about his shoddy program and dubious way of doing business.
DON'T BUY GPSDASH!
Have a Nice Day.

I have now used GPSDash for more than a year on my Qtek9090 - not the fastest of MDA´s - without any problems. I´ve added maps, changed all kinds of settings, and generally played around with it any way you can think of: Geaocaching, driving, walking and even use it for flying Cessna´s (which is really great: I now only carry maps into the cockpit just in case, but confidently rely on GPSdash - it hasn´t let me down yet).
The only point of improvement would be to increase the size of the buttons (tabs) so I don´t have to pull out the stylus whilst flying/driving.
Otherwise no complaints, great product.
Have a better day... (no matter where you go, there you are...)
