Backgammon is a game of... Backgammon. Amazing, huh!
Great graphics except for the ugly banner advertising their site and the splash screen ad in the same style that appears on start up.
You play against the computer (the option to play with 2 humans does not exist). Two levels are available, which is good. The worst thing is the time it takes the computer to think in the higher level.
Moving the pieces is done by a Drag & Drop. When you pick up a piece 3 cursors appear (using the dice individually and combined) indicating where you can place the piece.
A little pro: the number of "moves" which seperates each player from victory is displayed.
A little con: the wager aspect of backgammon has been neglected... therefore there is no "Doubling".

Great!!! They have removed the adds, both the flash and the banner :o)

AvantGarde is written on top quarter of screen, but it's written against a brown background, so it's not as noticable. The game didn't appear to have any sound, which takes away from the enjoyment. I think this Backgammon game has possiblities, but I presently enjoy playing PocketGammon by Jens Regge more, because of its realistic sounds and full-sized display. I think 6 out of 10 is a fair rating for this game.

This is too slow. It takes several minutes to roll the dice on my hp iPaq

Computer oponent is very weak (poor AI). http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1128 is much better. But Backgammon - v1.1 has one great feature - it shows possible moves ;)
