ftpView - v0.97 Categorie: Internet
Screen Shot
A good start for this file explorer which still needs some improvement but is already promising.
It provide a functionality which has really been missing in the built-in Microsoft file explorer: an FTP client! During my tests I had no problems to connect and to get the latest .dat file at NAI (formerly McAfee).
What a shame that Tap&Hold is not supported, but the Drag&Drop works great.
This is one of the file explorers threatening commercial ones.

This software can't establish an FTP connection on my x51v, no matter what I do. Total Commander's FTP plugin, or any other FTP client for Pocket PC, connects to my FTP server immediately.

Please disregard my comments above. I finally discovered my problem: When setting up a new FTP site, its IP address must be specified, i.e. all numbers instead of the conventional alphanumeric host name. The program works fine now; my apologies to KennyG!
